Our implantology courses are located in La Habana and Lima. Two of the most visited locations in The Caribbean. La Habana is also an attraction to enjoy adventure tourism that invites you to explore. Lima with the Machu Picchu and the famous gastronomy it´s a great option too. Tips for courses

Although we are going to give you a surgical cap and scrub. It is recommended to bring more than one as we are in a humid country.

Bring your headlight for surgeries if possible.

Wear sneakers or comfortable shoes, as you will be standing for many hours.

Whenever you travel abroad, it is interesting to carry medical insurance that covers you during your stay. If you have private insurance, you may have it included, we recommend that you inform yourself.

I. Where are the courses held? What is the name of the hotel?

II. What is the airport name? Is there shuttle available from the airport to Hotel?

III. Are the courses in English?

The official language is English, a second language is Spanish as we work at Caribbean countries where patient’s native language is Spanish. All instructors are English speakers.

 

IV. Do I need to apply for a visa?

The airline is in charge of providing you a ’‘tourist card’’, which is your visa, also there is an option to contact a travel agency and they develop this documentation.

 

V. What Implant system do you use?

We use the Biotrinon Dv System, internal hexagon implants 3.5mm platform compatible, with conical thread design for better stability, you will learn the drilling sequences as well as the implants insertion according to the case.The most important are the surgical techniques that could be applicable perfectly to any other universal Implant.

 

VI. What type of surgeries will be performed during the implant course?

According to the surgical skills, you will perform implant cases from lower to higher lever as well as immediate implant cases with and without grafting, bone grafting techniques, edentulous and membrane fixation, only in cases where it is necessary in extreme cases of severe atrophies. Patient selection is very meticulous so you’ll have experience enough to deal with all types of cases.

 

VII. Is your program approved by recognized educational organizations? How many credits?

Yes, our courses are eligible and recognized from AGD (Academy of General Dentistry) and ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologist) a total of 60 CE hrs.

 

VIII. What is the ratio instructor-student? Will there be a professor in my room at all times?
The ratio is 2 students to one instructor per box, which is very personalized ( the instructor is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon) , you do your cases and you also assist your partner on its cases.

 

IX. What kind of theoretical material so you provide? Do you recommend me some lectures prior course?

We don't proveed lectures prior the course, theory would create confusion on what you are going to learn and the conclusions you'll obtain during the course. The time to go to the theory is right after the course when the questions associated with the practice already arise. It is important of course to remember the anesthesia techniques for nerve, mental, and infraorbital blocks, remembering types of sutures. A workshop will be done on Sunday before the course to get used to the bases of the course.

 

X. How many hotel nights are covered? Is there shuttle available from the airport to Hotel? Can I bring a plus one to the course?

We cover your stay from Sunday (Check in)  to Saturday (Check Out) .
